Tooth colored resin fillings are used to treat teeth with mild decay or to replace unsightly silver fillings. This technique bonds the resin filling material to the tooth and reduces tooth sensitivity. By today’s standards, tooth colored fillings are as sturdy as silver fillings. These fillings match the tooth and are undetectable to the eye.
Oral Surgical Procedures
From simple extractions to the impacted wisdom tooth removal, Dr Rupp has been providing oral surgical services for over 25 years. Patients seldom need to be referred to a specialist thus saving them time and money.
Periodontal (Gum Disease) Treatment
Dr. Rupp has been providing periodontal services for over 25 years.
His treatment includes both non-surgical (deep cleaning to help restore tissue health) and surgical procedures that may include bone grafting. When gums have receded significantly due to aggressive brushing, soft tissue grafting can be performed to regain tissue height.
Endodontic (Root Canal) Procedures
Root canal treatment may be needed if a patient’s tooth has deteriorated over the years and has become abscessed. Instead of removing the tooth, this procedure can be utilized to save it. Dr Rupp treats most teeth that require root canal therapy in our office and occasionally will refer molar teeth to a specialist (Endodontist) for treatment.
Treatment of Apprehensive Patients
Depending on the procedure, a patient may feel more comfortable with a mild sedative prior to treatment. When needed, Dr. Rupp will prescribe Ativan 2mg prior to treatment, to relax the patient and improve their comfort.
